MESSAGE FROM POLICE SCOTLAND

Police Scotland have noticed a marked increase in the numbers of young people from West Lothian congregating in large numbers around both the Eliburn Park area and in particular the shops at Fernbank, Ladywell in Livingston. There have been several incidents of anti social behaviour recorded by the police.

The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebrations

The James Young High School brass group played for the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations at the top of Beecraigs where a beacon was lit to mark the occasion on Thursday 21 April 2016.

Fairtrade

During Fairtrade Fortnight, the Fairtrade group embraced the international theme of bananas, organising a bake sale and Fairtrade tea and coffee in the staff room. We also sold Fairtrade produce at a stall for

School Access and Security

From Monday 25th April the following will happen to ensure safety and security of our school:

The Back Gate will be locked during the school day apart from:
– first thing in the morning
– lunchtime
– end of the day

Pupils who are late to school in the morning or after lunch, they must enter through the reception entrance and anyone leaving during the day must sign out at reception and exit through the reception doors.  The main school entrance doors will also ...
