We are delighted to recognise the success of some of our pupils who are participating in activities and programmes at Burnhouse Skills Centre. As part of their course work Class 2.8 were asked to design a small table for a market group and an environment of their own choosing.
They explored different ways of supporting a horizontal surface above the floor and experimented with issues of stability and and structure.

Friday marked the last game of the season for our U15 football team. They played out an exciting 2-2 draw with St Margaret’s Academy, Ben and Nathan with the goals for JYHS.
This year was another great season for the team as they managed to win the league for the third year in a row. This is a fantastic achievement especially as the quality of opposition in this region is of a really high standard.

The finals of the Scottish Concert Band Festival took place in Perth Concert Hall last weekend (18/19 March) and James Young High School was well represented across a range of performing bands.
The marvelous JYHS Wind Band performed in the Achieving School Band Class, Part 1 alongside 8 other bands from across Scotland.
