Lawscot Foundation – Bursary

The Lawscot Foundation is committed to supporting talented young people who have the potential to benefit from and contribute to the legal profession. Our aim is to ensure that if you have drive and talent, money will not be a barrier to becoming a solicitor in Scotland.

We aim to support at least eight students in 2019 by providing them with a bursary package of £2,500 per year during their studies, and a solicitor mentor to assist with careers advice.

ICAS Foundation – Bursary

Have you applied for an accountancy or finance course at university starting September 2019?

You could be eligible for a bursary of up to £2,500 per year to help with travel, accommodation and study costs.

The ICAS Foundation supports academically talented young people from less advantaged backgrounds by helping them take their first steps into a professional career in accountancy or finance. Students who receive a bursary also take part in our mentoring programme and receive support to access internships.

Local Charity Appeal

Kidzeco have been shortlisted for a chance of winning up to £50,000 to support our community through the People’s Project.

They would like to open a new community space, Kidz n Kin, where families can come and play in a soft play or themed play area, take part in classes and workshops, put their feet up and chill with a coffee in the new cafe area and most of all meet other families and have fun.

Career Ready Programme

It was a very proud moment to see Amie Leigh, Sammy and Ashleigh (all in S6) graduate last week at Perth Concert Hall from the Career Ready Programme.

This fantastic programme helps build the confidence of our pupils by linking them to a business mentor for 2 years as well as affording them a 4 week paid internship with their mentor.

LEAPS – “Startsmart”

LEAPS will be running a brand new summer programme called “Startsmart!” Running for two weeks in July, Startsmart will offer students the opportunity to experience some university academic skills teaching, some subject teaching and a chance to take part in organised social activities and make friends ahead of starting their studies in the Autumn.
