This course will develop a range of cookery skills and processes, as well as food preparation techniques. Learners will develop an understanding of ingredients from a variety of different sources, as well as of their uses and responsible sourcing and sustainability. They will also gain an understanding of the impact of the choice of ingredients on health and wellbeing, and embed food safety and hygiene skills.

Learners will spend three to four hours preparing food each week and one hour approximately on written work.

There will be an annual cost associated with this course which can be paid in instalments. Further information on the total cost will be made available at the start of the course.
