Twilight classes in a range of subjects are now being offered to S4/5/6 pupils.  The full timetable is available here.  Classes will be after school for an hour 3.35pm – 4.35pm.

Sutton Trust Summer School

The University of Glasgow is running a new free one-week Summer School this year, in partnership with the Sutton Trust. It will run from 7-12 July 2019 and is open to pupils who have just completed S5 and are continuing on to S6. It is a residential Summer School, with pupils living in University accommodation for the week. All meals will be provided and taken in University refectories and the Students’ Unions.

Guest Presenter – Doug Allan

On Wednesday, 6th February , award winning camera man Doug Allan visited the James Young High School in Livingston.

Doug has produced inspiring wildlife films for such classics as Planet Earth, Life in the Freezer. Frozen Planet and Blue Planet. He obtained a degree in marine Biology from Stirling University before starting his career as a diver and camera man. He is passionate about wildlife conservation.

Prom Store – Fashion Show

On Wednesday 19 December 2018 our amazing senior pupils supported by Mrs. Borthwick and Mrs. Williamson hosted our first ever Pop up Prom store fashion show. Mr. Brady and Mrs. Hart were our compares on the night, narrating the evening with sophistication and humour.
