Pathways to the Professions provides advice and guidance to school students in all 46 state schools in Edinburgh and the Lothians interested in applying for Medicine, Law or Veterinary Medicine.
The following events are taking place for senior pupils wishing to study Medicine or Law . It is being run by the Pathways to Professions and pupils must register before applying. Details of how to register are available on the website
Becoming a lawyer is not just about studying hard – it’s also about communicating with clients, collaborating with colleagues and other professionals, securing placements and traineeships. How you develop these relationships can really help you along the way. This workshop will look at what networking is and how to do it.

Open to: S5 and S6 Law pupils only

Medicine Event: Clinical Skills Workshop @ Edinburgh Royal Infirmary
Chance to practice your clinical skills in a hospital setting. You will move around four workshop stations, each run by a doctor, introducing you to some of the skills that medical students use every day and giving you a glimpse into life as a medical student. This is a great career exploration opportunity!

Open to: S4 and selected S5 Medicine pupils only **Note that because of number restrictions, this is only being offered to selected Pathways and Reach Medicine pupils at this stage (i.e.: those who have told us they neither of their parents attended university and / or those who attend a school where below average numbers of pupils apply to university)**
