Scottish Schools Relay Championship

Congratulations to the following pupils who represented our school at the Scottish Schools Relay Championship at The Royal Commonwealth Pool yesterday.
The girls team which consisted of Emma De Wet, Emma King, Emma Freeborn and Yasmin Lapsley competed in the S1/2 age group and swam an astounding race, however, they lost out on their second place medal for the 200 metre Freestyle race as a result of a minor changeover infraction.  The afternoon saw them swim the 200 metre Individual Medley event where they stormed to 6th out of 26 teams.
The boys who consisted of Alistair Dunse, Euan Dunse, Ross Thomson and Myles Lapsley completed in the Open Group (nearly all S6 boys). The morning consisted of their 200 metre Individual Medley race which was amazing to watch and gave them 9th place out of 18.  The afternoon saw them swim their 200 metre Freestyle event where they achieved 10th out of 18th, astounding when you saw the size of the other swimmers.
Both teams were really proud to swim for their school and staff were really proud to be poolside with them and if all that wasn’t enough they got personal bests in most of their swims.
Well done to everyone what a great day !
